The hotel is situated at the northern edge of the inner Ring Road opposite Watts Park and the Civic Centre. It is in easy walking distance of the Central train station and is only five miles from Southampton/Eastleigh Airport.

Car parking is available in the adjacent Grosvenor Square car park, operated by Southampton City Council. Standard parking charges apply.

By Road - From West (A31 Ringwood) & North West (A36 Salisbury)
Join M27 Eastbound, Exit J3 SP "Southampton (M271)", Follow M271 to end (1½ miles), At RBT TL SP "Southampton", LM = block of flats on left, Join DC and get in middle lane as LH lane IMM exit left, Over flyover, LM = McDonalds on left, nSO at lights
Over flyover, Get in LH lane as RH lane exits right, LM = Train tracks on left, Approaching lights filter left & TL at lights over railway bridge. SP "Shirley", At MRBT TR and IMM get in LH lane, SO at lights, Stay in LH lane, SO at lights and up hill, LM = Mayflower theatre on right, Up hill to lights staying in LH lane, TL at lights and stay in LH lane, Follow road right & SO at lights on bend, 50m Hotel on left with pull-in stopping place.

What to do in Southampton

National Motor Museum
Beaulieu features the world famous National Motor Museum with 250 historic vehicles plus motoring memorabilia: Palace House, home of the Montague family, containing many family treasures. Abbey Ruins containing an exhibition of monastic life, plus various rides and drives for all the family to enjoy. Broadlands
Broadlands, one of the finest examples of mid-Georgian architecture in England was the home of the late Lord Louise Mountbatten (Earl Mountbatten of Burma). Broadlands stands in spacious parkland in a landscape, which is typically English and laid out by 'Capability' Brown. The River Test, one of the finest trout and salmon rivers in Europe flowers for over four miles through the Estate. Southampton - Hall of Aviation
The Solent Sky depicts the history of aviation in the Solent area and Hampshire. The Museum tells the story of 26 aircraft companies, the largest flying boat operation in the world and in particular the legendary Spitfire designed by R J Mitchell.  arrow Visit Website

Southampton Maritime Museum
The Maritime Museum is on Town Quay Road , in the medieval building known as the Wool House. It was Southampton 's first public museum and was opened in 1912. The museum contains displays relating to Southampton 's history as a trading and passenger port. There is a collection of large model ships, including a model of the Queen Mary.

The museum houses a large number of items relating to the Titanic disaster. One item donated was the Royal Naval Reserve dress sword belonging to Captain Smith of the Titanic presented by his widow Eleanor on the first anniversary of the disaster. Letters, telegrams, keys and other personal belongings of crewmembers are also on display. The museum also displays original material from Titanic's sister ship, Olympic, including the panel 'Honour and Glory Crowning Time'. An almost identical panel was made for the Titanic's main staircase, and a reproduction of this panel featured in major scenes from the 1998 'Titanic' film.  arrow Visit Website
